PMY assistant editor Jeffrey Moser (right) was led on the tour of Apreamare’s new factory by Ferretti Group project manager Dan Henderson.

The production line at Apreamare’s new, state-of-the-art facility at Torre Annunziata, Italy. The large site will be home to Apreamare offices and maintenance facilities; construction is underway on a marina that will be adjacent to the factory. Apreamare hopes to greatly increase production at the new site, and hopes to build between 100 and 150 boats per year at Torre Annunziata.

The all-new 65 Maestro, seen off the coast of Sorrento, Italy, is powered by standard 1,200-hp MTU common-rail diesels. The 65-footer is the first model of the Maestro series—Apreamare plans to add 43-, 49-, 55-, 75-, and 85-foot models to complete the line.

Cataldo Aprea, founder of Apreamare, unveiled the 65 Maestro to the press at Sorrento’s harbor and answered questions from the yacht’s walnut saloon.
